Hickory

Hickory

The shutdown is over! (Hooray!) Instead of a puzzle today, I’ll share this hickory leaf (yes, that’s one leaf. It’s a compound leaf). We’ve been in our house for several months, but only recently (during the shutdown–I had extra time) did I find this mockernut hickory (Carya tomentosa) sapling in my backyard.
